Salzgitter

Salzgitter's most senior-friendly companies have been certified

Together with the Salzgitter Senior Citizens' Office, the Seniorenbeirat has checked how senior-friendly the stores in Salzgitter really are.

Hans Werner Eisfeld (left), Felizitas Ding and Ingrid Müller (third from left) presented the certificate to Adrian Sievers , owner of Sievers`sche Apotheke.
Felizitas Ding (left) and Karin Margner (right) presented the certificate and sticker to Claudia Neumann from Claudia Dessous.

Members of the Seniorenbeirat were recently out and about as test shoppers in the city districts. From this summer, further test purchases will be carried out regularly.

Businesses that meet the criteria or are able to compensate for any minor weaknesses with particular strengths will receive a certificate for "Senior-friendly service". The award-winning stores can advertise this special service with a large round yellow sticker on the shop window.

The members of the Seniorenbeirat do not initially identify themselves as mystery shoppers. They look for competence, helpfulness, friendliness of the staff, barrier-free shopping or legibility of the price tags on the shelves and on the products.
