The aim of the joint checks, which are carried out several times a week, is not only to identify and strictly enforce administrative offenses, but also to show a local presence.

Two officers from the Salzgitter / Peine / Wolfenbüttel police department and two members of the KOD took part in the enforcement operation, which took place in the Berliner Straße, Martin-Luther-Straße and Hasenwinkel areas. Various parking violations and vehicles, some of which had clearly expired MOTs, as well as two illegal waste disposal operations were detected.

One vehicle was parked on the sidewalk with its engine running. Another vehicle was no longer operational due to visible accident damage.

An illegal dumping of waste is recorded by a KOD employee.

A cyclist was also given a warning for riding on the cycle path in the wrong direction and a car driver was informed of clearly audible damage to her exhaust system as part of a general traffic check.

After the check, the offense was immediately investigated.
