The City of Salzgitter's Medienzentrum presents the latest episode of the "Salzgitter Secrets" series.

The episode titled "Balkenbeschriftung" delves deep into the shadowy corners of history, where mysterious signs and symbols are waiting to be deciphered.

This time, the focus is on an inscription at the Am Ziesberg elementary school in Salzgitter-Bad, which recalls dark days when obedience and propaganda dominated more than just schools.

The oppressive words "Only those who have learned to obey can later give orders" are engraved in an oak bay window and hold a dark secret. Dr. Teri Arias, historian and research assistant at the Drütte Concentration Camp Memorial, takes the audience on a journey through the past to discuss the background to this inscription.
