The registry office keeps the birth, marriage and death registers, from which the corresponding civil status certificates are created. The former family register, which was created until 31.12.2008, has been continued as a marriage entry since 01.01.2009. Since this time, the registry office has also been responsible for certifying civil status cases that have occurred abroad. In addition, church resignations and public-law name changes are recorded and applications for honorary sponsorship of the 7th child by the Federal President are processed.
