Between 10 am and 5 pm, master baker Daniel Mücke will be presenting his craft to the public. According to the motto: "Je näjer de Möhl - desto frisker ook dat Mehl" ("The newer the flour - the fresher the flour"), visitors' physical well-being will be catered for.
Fragrant coffee and delicious cakes as well as the popular museum bread are offered by the Mücke bakery from Salzgitter.
The dough for the museum bread is prepared according to an old recipe and baked over beech wood in the chest-fired oven of the historic bakehouse. Watching is welcome!
But you can also take part:
Every first and third Wednesday of the month, children's groups have the opportunity to knead, shape and bake the dough themselves! The children's groups are welcomed by a tour guide and led through the old bakehouse and the mill garden. Afterwards, each child is allowed to make a small bread roll from a piece of dough. While the roll is baking in the oven, you can visit the mill, the castle or the Eiszeitgarten. And, of course, the finished buns can be eaten.

Access
Access to the mill garden is barrier-free. Please note, however, that neither the old bakery nor the Osterlinder Bockwindmühle are barrier-free.
Please use the free parking spaces in the castle courtyard or on the street "Hinter dem Knick". You can reach the Salder Castle Municipal Museum by ÖPNV line 612.
